Stimulators and Growth Regulators

Regalis Plus

Regalis® Plus is a plant growth regulator developed by BASF, designed to manage vegetative growth and improve fruit quality in fruit trees such as apple, pear, and plum. It also enhances plant resistance to fire blight (Erwinia amylovora). Details

Description

Composition:

  • Active ingredient: 100 g/kg prohexadione-calcium
  • Formulation: Water-soluble granules

Mode of Action:
Prohexadione-calcium inhibits gibberellin synthesis, reducing excessive shoot growth and promoting a balance between vegetative growth and fruit production. It also decreases ethylene production, reducing premature fruit drop and enhancing plant resistance to diseases.

Usage Recommendations:
Regalis® Plus can be applied once or in two stages during the growing season:

  • Single application: 2.5 kg/ha during flowering (BBCH 60-69).
  • Two applications: 1.5 kg/ha during flowering (BBCH 60-69) and 1.5 kg/ha at early fruit formation (BBCH 71-75).
  • Maximum dose: 3 kg/ha per growing season.

Benefits of Use:

  • Vegetative Growth Control: Reduces shoot length, saves pruning costs, improves canopy structure, and enhances tree productivity.
  • Optimized Production: Reduces alternate bearing, improves fruit quality, ensures uniform harvests, and protects against black spot disease.
  • Enhanced Tree Resistance: Protects against fire blight, increases stress tolerance, and reduces pest damage.

Application Tips:

  • Compatibility: Regalis® Plus is compatible with most insecticides and fungicides, but a compatibility test is recommended before mixing. Do not mix with calcium-based products, auxins, or gibberellins.
  • Application Conditions: Apply to healthy trees that are not under stress. Avoid spraying before extreme temperature changes or during severe drought conditions.
