Tristar 50 SG

Tristar 50 SG is a selective systemic herbicide from the sulfonylurea group, used post-emergence to control broadleaf weeds in winter wheat, triticale, and spring barley. It contains 500 g/kg tribenuron-methyl and is formulated as water-soluble granules (SG). Details

Description

Tristar 50 SG is quickly absorbed through the leaves and translocated to growing points, where it inhibits cell division, stopping weed growth and development.

  • Decomposes rapidly in the soil, reducing the risk of root absorption.
  • Visible effects appear 5-10 days after application, and complete weed death occurs within 15-21 days.

Usage Instructions:
Tristar 50 SG is applied post-emergence, depending on the crop:

  • Winter Wheat and Triticale:

    • Dosage: 30–40 g/ha
    • Application Timing: Spring, from tillering to the second internode stage (BBCH 26-32).
  • Spring Barley:

    • Dosage: 25–30 g/ha
    • Application Timing: From tillering to the first internode stage (BBCH 20-31).

Control Spectrum:

  • Sensitive Weeds:

    • Capsella bursa-pastoris (Shepherd’s purse)
    • Stellaria media (Chickweed)
    • Centaurea cyanus (Cornflower)
    • Matricaria maritima (Scentless chamomile)
    • Veronica arvensis (Wall speedwell)
    • Chenopodium album (Lamb’s quarters)
  • Moderately Sensitive Weeds:

    • Viola arvensis (Field pansy)
    • Galium aparine (Cleavers)
    • Lamium amplexicaule (Henbit deadnettle)
    • Thlaspi arvense (Field pennycress)

Tank Mix Recommendation:
For better control of cleavers (Galium aparine), it is recommended to mix 25 g/ha Tristar 50 SG with 0.4 L/ha Galaper 200 EC (fluroxypyr).

Recommendations:

  • Water Volume: 200–300 L/ha
  • Maximum Treatments per Year: 1
  • Compatibility:
    • Tristar 50 SG is compatible with most fungicides, insecticides, and foliar fertilizers, except those with strongly alkaline or acidic reactions.
    • Do not apply under conditions of drought stress, extreme temperatures, waterlogging, or nutrient deficiencies.
