Talendo EC

Talendo EC is a broad-spectrum fungicide formulated as an emulsifiable concentrate (EC) designed for the control of fungal diseases in various crops, including cereals and horticultural plants. Belonging to the DMI (demethylation inhibitor) group, the product exhibits both systemic and translaminar properties, offering effective preventive and curative protection. Details

Description

Talendo EC works by inhibiting the enzyme C14-demethylase, which is essential for the biosynthesis of ergosterol—a vital component of fungal cell membranes. As a result, the product:

  • Disrupts fungal development: It prevents fungal growth and sporulation by blocking essential metabolic processes.
  • Provides systemic and translaminar protection: The product is rapidly absorbed through the foliage and evenly distributed throughout the plant, protecting both the treated areas and new growth.
  • Offers preventive and curative action: It can be applied preventively before disease onset or curatively at the first signs of infection.
  • Remains effective under adverse conditions: Its robust formulation ensures excellent adhesion and stability, even in rainy or high UV conditions.

Usage Instructions (example):

  1. Preparation: Dilute Talendo EC in water according to label instructions (e.g., 200–400 L/ha) to achieve a uniform spray solution.
  2. Application: Apply as a foliar spray to ensure complete coverage of the crop.
  3. Reapplication: Reapply every 14–21 days, depending on environmental conditions and disease pressure.
  4. Precautions: Follow the label’s dosage and safety guidelines; conduct compatibility tests when tank mixing with other products.

Advantages:

  • Provides effective control of fungal diseases due to its systemic and translaminar action.
  • Suitable for both preventive and curative applications across a variety of crops.
  • Its robust formulation offers prolonged protection even under variable weather conditions.
