Ingredients & Formulation:

  • Packaging: Typically available in 1 L and 5 L containers.

Mode of Action:

  • Roundup Max is rapidly absorbed through the foliage and translocated systemically throughout the plant.
  • Glyphosate works by inhibiting the enzyme EPSPS (5-enolpyruvylshikimate-3-phosphate synthase) in the shikimate pathway, which is essential for the synthesis of certain amino acids, ultimately stopping growth and killing the plant completely.

Directions for Use:

  1. Crops:
    • The product is used as a post-emergence treatment for the total control of unwanted vegetation; however, as it is non-selective, care must be taken to avoid contact with desirable crops.
  2. Timing:
    • Apply after the unwanted vegetation has emerged and the foliage is well developed.
  3. Recommended Rate:
    • Typically, apply at a rate of approximately 1–2 L/ha, diluted in 200–400 L of water per hectare. Adjust the rate according to the level of infestation as per the label instructions.
  4. Application Method:
    • Uniformly spray the solution over the target area using properly calibrated ground equipment.
  5. Precautions:
    • Since Roundup Max is non-selective, avoid drift onto desired crops.
    • Apply under favorable weather conditions (temperatures between 15-30°C) and avoid application before rain; ensure no rain occurs for at least 4–5 hours after application for optimal absorption.
