Quickphos

Active Ingredient:

• Aluminum phosphide (AlP): 560 g/kg ​

Mode of Action: Upon contact with moisture in the air, aluminum phosphide releases phosphine (PH₃), a toxic gas that inhibits cellular respiration in pests, leading to their death. ​

Available Formulations:

• Tablets: Each tablet weighs approximately 3 grams. ​
• Sachets (bags): Available in various sizes, containing aluminum phosphide granules. 

Applications:

• Grain and seed storage: Control of pests in stored maize, wheat, sorghum, groundnuts, dried beans, sunflower seeds, barley, oats, rye, and dried fruits. 
• Storage and transport facilities: Fumigation of silos, containers, and other storage spaces to eliminate pests during transportation and storage. ​

Precautions and Safety:

• Toxicity: Phosphine is extremely toxic to humans and animals; Quickphos should only be used by trained personnel with appropriate protective equipment.
• Safety measures: Ensure fumigated areas are properly sealed and adequately ventilated after treatment to prevent accidental exposure.
