Priaxor

Priaxor is a next-generation systemic fungicide formulated as an emulsifiable concentrate (EC), designed for the control of fungal diseases in cereal and other sensitive crops. It combines two active ingredients – for example, fludioxonil and tebuconazole – which work synergistically to provide both preventive and curative control against pathogens such as Fusarium, Septoria, Alternaria, and other phytopathogenic Details

Description

Active Ingredients (indicative values):
• Fludioxonil – 100 g/l
• Tebuconazole – 200 g/l
(Total actives approximately 300 g/l – please refer to the label for exact values.)

Mode of Action:

  • Systemic and Translaminar: Once applied, Priaxor is rapidly absorbed by the plant and translocated throughout its tissues, protecting both the treated area and new growth.
  • Dual Action: Fludioxonil disrupts fungal osmotic regulation by inducing excessive glycerol accumulation, leading to cellular imbalance and pathogen death; tebuconazole inhibits sterol biosynthesis, compromising the fungal cell membrane and preventing growth and sporulation.
  • Synergistic Effect: The combination of the two actives provides broad-spectrum control and minimizes the risk of resistance development.

Usage Instructions (example):

  1. Preparation:
    • Dilute Priaxor according to label instructions (e.g., using 200–400 L/ha of water) to obtain a uniform spray solution.
  2. Application:
    • Apply as a foliar spray to ensure complete coverage of the crop.
    • Use preventively at the onset of disease pressure, and as a curative treatment at the first signs of infection.
    • Reapplication intervals are typically 14–21 days, depending on environmental conditions and disease pressure.
  3. Precautions:
    • Follow the label for recommended dosages, safety intervals, and pre-harvest restrictions.
    • Conduct compatibility tests if tank-mixing with other products.

Advantages:

  • Provides both preventive and curative protection against a broad spectrum of foliar diseases.
  • Systemic and translaminar properties ensure comprehensive crop protection.
  • Dual mode of action reduces the likelihood of resistance development in pathogens.
