Pictor Active

Pictor Active is a systemic fungicide designed for crop protection, particularly for soy, oilseed rape, and sunflower. It contains two active ingredients – boscalid (150 g/l) and piraclostrobin (250 g/l) – that work synergistically to inhibit mitochondrial respiration and energy production in fungal pathogens, providing both preventive and curative control. Details

Description

Active Ingredients:
• Boscalid – 150 g/l
• Piraclostrobin – 250 g/l

Mode of Action:

  • Systemic and Translaminar: Pictor Active is rapidly absorbed by the plant and translocated throughout, protecting both the treated area and new growth.
  • Enzymatic Inhibition: Boscalid inhibits succinate dehydrogenase, blocking energy production in fungi, while piraclostrobin disrupts mitochondrial respiration and electron transport, preventing fungal growth and sporulation.
  • Synergistic Effect: The combination of both active ingredients offers broad-spectrum disease control while reducing the risk of resistance development.

Usage Instructions (example):

  1. Preparation:
    • Dilute Pictor Active in water according to label instructions, typically using 200–400 L/ha to achieve a uniform spray solution.
  2. Application:
    • Apply as a foliar spray to ensure even coverage.
    • It is recommended to apply preventively at the onset of disease development, with reapplications every 14–21 days as needed based on disease pressure.
  3. Precautions:
    • Follow label recommendations for dosage, application intervals, and pre-harvest restrictions.
    • Perform compatibility tests when tank-mixing with other products.

Advantages:

  • Provides effective control of foliar diseases and fungal sporulation.
  • Systemic action protects the entire plant.
  • Dual mode of action minimizes the risk of resistance development.
