Description

Mode of Action: Upon contact with atmospheric moisture, aluminum phosphide releases phosphine (PH₃), a toxic gas that inhibits cellular respiration in pests, leading to their death.

Available Formulations:

  • Tablets: Each tablet releases 1 gram of phosphine. Packaged in aluminum flasks, each containing 333 tablets; 21 flasks per case.
  • Pellets: Each pellet releases 0.2 grams of phosphine. Packaged in aluminum flasks, each containing 1666 pellets; 21 flasks per case.

Applications: Phostoxin can be used in various types of storage facilities, including silos, bins, warehouses, railcars, containers, barges, or ships. It can be applied manually or by inserting the tablets or pellets into the stored product using a probe. It can also be added during the filling process of silos or bins.

Precautions and Safety:

  • Toxicity: Phosphine is extremely toxic to humans and animals; Phostoxin should only be used by trained personnel with appropriate protective equipment.
  • Safety Measures: Ensure fumigated areas are well-sealed and properly ventilated after treatment to prevent accidental exposure.
  • Storage: Store Phostoxin in a dry, well-ventilated area away from heat sources and under lock and key. Do not store in buildings where humans or domestic animals reside.
