Pantera 40 EC

Pantera 40 EC is a selective post-emergence herbicide formulated as an emulsifiable concentrate (EC), designed for the effective control of broadleaf weeds in corn crops. It contains 40 g/L Dicamba, which works by inhibiting amino acid synthesis, providing fast and systemic weed control while protecting the crop. Details

Description

Ingredients & Formulation:

  • Active Ingredient: Dicamba 40 g/L
  • Formulation: Emulsifiable Concentrate (EC)
  • Packaging: Available in 1 L and 5 L containers

Mode of Action:

  • Pantera 40 EC is rapidly absorbed through the foliage and translocated systemically throughout the weed.
  • Dicamba works by inhibiting the synthesis of essential amino acids, disrupting the metabolic processes in weed cells, which leads to growth cessation, leaf discoloration, and ultimately necrosis.
  • The product is selective for corn, as the crop metabolizes Dicamba into inactive compounds, thereby avoiding phytotoxic effects.

Directions for Use:

  1. Crops:
    • Recommended for corn crops affected by broadleaf weeds.
  2. Recommended Rate:
    • For moderate infestations: 0.8 L/ha.
    • For severe infestations: 1.0–1.5 L/ha.
  3. Preparation:
    • Dilute the recommended dose in 200–400 L of water per hectare according to label instructions.
  4. Timing:
    • Apply post-emergence when the target broadleaf weeds are at a young stage (typically 2–4 leaves) and when corn is at the 4–6 leaf stage (BBCH 14–16).
  5. Application Method:
    • Uniformly spray the solution over the entire crop area using calibrated ground equipment.
  6. Precautions:
    • Avoid application under high humidity or immediately before/after rainfall; ensure no rain occurs for 4–5 hours post-application.

Advantages:

  • Fast and systemic action ensures complete weed control.
  • Selective protection of corn through the crop’s ability to metabolize Dicamba.
  • Easy to use with no need for extra adjuvants.
