Mais Ter Power OD 57,5

Mais Ter Power OD 57.5 is a post-emergence herbicide formulated as an oil dispersion, designed for the effective control of both monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous weeds in corn crops. The product contains foramsulfuron, iodosulfuron-methyl, tiencarbazon-methyl, and a safener (ciprosulfamid), providing fast and selective action without the need for additional adjuvants. Details

Description

Active Ingredient & Formulation:

  • Foramsulfuron: 31.5 g/L
  • Iodosulfuron-methyl: 1.0 g/L
  • Tiencarbazon-methyl: 10 g/L
  • Ciprosulfamid (safener): 15 g/L
  • Formulation: Oil dispersion (OD)
  • Packaging: Typically available in 5 L canisters

Mode of Action:
Mais Ter Power OD 57.5 works by inhibiting the acetolactate synthase (ALS) enzyme, crucial for amino acid synthesis, thereby halting weed growth. The product is quickly absorbed through the leaves and roots, moving systemically throughout the plant to stop growth and selectively kill target weeds. The safener ciprosulfamid enhances the metabolism of the herbicide in corn, protecting the crop from phytotoxic effects.

Directions for Use:

  1. Timing:
    • Apply post-emergence when corn is at the 4-6 leaf stage and target weeds (both monocots and dicots) are young (2-4 leaves for monocots and 2-6 leaves for dicots).
  2. Recommended Rate:
    • Use 1.25 - 1.5 L/ha.
  3. Preparation of the Working Solution:
    • Dilute the recommended amount in 200-300 L of water as per technical guidelines; no additional adjuvants are needed.
  4. Application Method:
    • Uniformly spray the solution using calibrated ground equipment.
  5. Application Conditions:
    • Apply under favorable weather conditions (temperatures between 8-25°C) and avoid application during heavy dew or immediately after rainfall.

Weed Spectrum:

  • Monocots: Includes species such as Agropyron repens (downy brome), Echinochloa crus-galli (barnyard grass), Setaria spp., Digitaria sanguinalis, etc.
  • Dicots: Includes species such as Ambrosia artemisiifolia (common ragweed), Chenopodium album (lamb's quarters), Polygonum convolvulus, Sinapis arvensis (wild mustard), Solanum nigrum, etc.

Advantages:

  • High efficacy against a wide range of weeds.
  • No need for additional adjuvants thanks to its unique OD formulation.
  • Enhanced adhesion and penetration into weed tissues.
  • Protects corn due to the inclusion of the safener ciprosulfamid.
