Locus 700 WG

Locus 700 WG is a selective herbicide in the form of water-dispersible granules (WG), containing metsulfuron-methyl and tribenuron-methyl as active ingredients. It is intended for use by professional users in accordance with the label instructions. Details

Description

Active Ingredients and Formulation:

  • Active Ingredients: Metsulfuron-methyl 200 g/kg and tribenuron-methyl 500 g/kg
  • Formulation: Water-Dispersible Granules (WG)

Mode of Action: Locus 700 WG is absorbed through the leaves and roots of weeds, inhibiting the enzyme acetolactate synthase (ALS), which is essential for the synthesis of branched-chain amino acids. This inhibition leads to the cessation of cell division and, ultimately, the death of susceptible weeds.

Usage Recommendations:

  • Crops: Wheat and barley
  • Recommended Dose: 20-25 g/ha
  • Application Timing: From the 2-leaf stage to the first node stage of the crop (BBCH 12-31)
  • Recommended Water Volume: 200-300 L/ha

Weed Control Spectrum: Locus 700 WG effectively controls annual dicotyledonous weeds such as:

  • Sinapis arvensis (wild mustard)
  • Galium aparine (cleavers)
  • Stellaria media (common chickweed)
  • Veronica spp. (speedwell)
  • Capsella bursa-pastoris (shepherd's purse)

Precautions and Recommendations:

  • Compatibility: Locus 700 WG can be mixed with other herbicides, fungicides, or foliar fertilizers; however, it is recommended to perform a compatibility test before use.
  • Application Conditions: Avoid application under abiotic stress conditions (drought, extreme temperatures) or on crops affected by pests or diseases.
  • Environmental Protection: Avoid contamination of surface waters and adhere to recommended buffer zones.
