Leander 750 EC

Leander 750 EC is a systemic fungicide with both preventive and curative action, designed for cereal crops. It contains 750 g/L fenpropidin, which inhibits ergosterol biosynthesis by blocking sterol synthesis at two positions—a mode of action different from that of azole fungicides. Leander 750 EC is effectively translocated acropetally in the xylem, proving effective even in cases where pathogens have developed resistance to triazoles. Details

Description

Active Ingredient:
• Fenpropidin 750 g/L

Mode of Action:

  • Systemic Action: The product is absorbed by the plant and translocated upward through the xylem, protecting both the treated area and upper parts of the plant.
  • Inhibition of Ergosterol Biosynthesis: Fenpropidin disrupts the synthesis of ergosterol, a key component of fungal cell membranes, through a mechanism different from that of azole fungicides.
  • High Efficacy: The protection period after application is approximately 14 days, depending on local conditions.

Usage Instructions:

  • Application:
    • A maximum of two treatments per season is recommended, with a minimum interval of 14 days between applications.
    • The first treatment is applied at the BBCH stage 30-39 (from the onset of ear emergence until the flag leaf appears), while the second treatment is applied at BBCH stage 39-59 (after full development of the flag leaf until the end of ear formation).
    • Use a spray volume of 200–400 L/ha.
  • Compatibility:
    • Leander 750 EC is generally compatible with many plant protection products, except those with strongly alkaline reactions. It is advised to perform a compatibility test on a small area before mixing.

Pre-harvest Interval:

  • The protection duration is about 14 days, subject to local conditions.
