Astron 350 SE

Astron 350 SE is a systemic fungicide formulated as a suspension emulsion (SE) with an active ingredient concentration of 350 g/l. Designed for controlling fungal diseases in various crops, it provides both preventive and curative protection through its dual systemic and translaminar action. Details

Description

Astron 350 SE is characterized by:

  • Concentrated Formulation: It contains 350 g/l of an active ingredient belonging to the group of sterol biosynthesis inhibitors, which is critical for maintaining fungal cell membrane integrity.
  • Mode of Action:
    • Systemic and Translaminar: Once applied, the product is rapidly absorbed through the foliage and evenly distributed throughout the plant, protecting both the treated areas and new growth.
    • Inhibition of Ergosterol Biosynthesis: The active ingredient interferes with the enzyme C14-demethylase, blocking ergosterol production and thus fungal growth and sporulation.
    • Preventive and Curative Action: Astron 350 SE can be applied preventively before disease onset or curatively at the first signs of infection.
  • Usage:
    • Apply as a foliar spray to ensure complete crop coverage.
    • Dilution and dosage recommendations (e.g., 200–400 L/ha) are provided on the label.
    • Reapplications are typically made every 14–21 days, depending on environmental conditions and disease pressure.

Advantages:

  • Rapid and extended protection through systemic and translaminar activity.
  • Highly effective in controlling fungal diseases with a low risk of resistance development.
  • Robust formulation maintains consistent performance under variable weather conditions.
